Is John Francis Daley from Bones the same guy who wrote the movie Horrible Bosses? If so, is he going to write any episodes of Bones?

&emdash;Cal Pennington, Missoula, Mont.

Daley, who plays Dr. Sweets, the FBI shrink on the Fox series, is definitely the same guy who co-wrote the hit movie Horrible Bosses. The 26-year-old from Wheeling, Ill., who began acting when he was 3, collaborated with his writing partner, Jonathan M. Goldstein, on the raunchy comedy.

The two also are working on a script, Burt Wonderstone, for former Office star Steve Carell, and a Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs sequel, and they are hoping to resurrect the Vacation movie-comedy franchise.

Daley likes writing as well as acting. "I enjoy both in completely different ways," he says. "You have more creative freedom with writing. But, as an actor, you don't so much focus on what has to move the story along, but only on how your character is reacting to situations."

As for writing a Bones script, he has already done that, an episode that aired in April and featured his real-life dad. "He plays someone I interrogated in one of the scenes, which is great," Daley says. "I look nothing like him. No one would realize that he's my dad until they look at the credits and see R. F. Daley."
