He was released in time to get home and watch the Grammys, in which he won the male country vocal performance award, the 10th Grammy of his career. The country music legend splits his time between Nashville and Jamaica with wife June Carter Cash. He has autonomic neuropathy, a disease of the nervous system that makes him susceptible to pneumonia, for which he has been hospitalized three times in the last three years.
