What did Jon Cryer do before Two and a Half Men?

Before his popular TV series, Cryer, 47, was best known as Duckie in director John Hughes’ iconic 1986 coming-of-age teen movie Pretty in Pink. The New York City-born actor launched his career in 1984 in No Small Affair, followed by Dudes, Hiding Out and Hot Shots! He appeared in several unsuccessful TV series, including The Famous Teddy Z, Getting Personal, Partners and The Trouble With Normal, before Men became a hit. Cryer married for a second time in 2007. In addition to a son from his first marriage, he and his wife have an adopted daughter.
