Our whole family enjoys watching 'Cupcake Wars' with Justin Willman. When did he become a magician? What else can you tell us about him?

Willman, 31, a native of St. Louis, Mo., turned to magic at 13 after falling off his bicycle and breaking both arms. In casts for six months, he picked up a book of magic tricks to pass the time, and found himself hooked. He describes his comedy and magic variety show saying, “I like to take the classics and really flip them on their heads and reinvent them.” Willman does about 100 shows a year, including regular gigs in Hollywood at the Magic Castle and the Nerdist Theatre at Meltdown Comics. His hobbies include going to flea markets, hiking with his dog, and one of these days, he says, “I’m gonna learn how to cook.”
