Kathryn Hahn plays Lily Lebowski on the NBC series. The Illinois native grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where her family still lives. Hahn started acting at an early age. She won a leading role in a local syndicated children's show titled Hickory Hideout and appeared in several local theater productions before entering Northwestern University, earning a bachelor's degree in theater. After graduating, she moved to New York City and later was accepted into the Yale School of Drama. Hahn was spotted by an NBC casting executive while performing with the Williamstown Theatre Festival. She was supposed to test for various pilots for the 2002-03 season, but things got on the fast track when Crossing Jordan's creator and executive producer came up with the character of Lily. Hahn flew to Los Angeles to read for the part. She landed the role a week after auditioning and within a few months of graduating from Yale. She lives in Los Angeles and enjoys painting and practicing yoga in her spare time.
