Douglas, 77, who plays businesswoman May Bailey on TV's Wind at My Back, is indeed Kiefer's mother and was married to his father, Donald Sutherland, from 1966 to 1970. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, she is the daughter of the late politician Tommy Douglas. Set in Ontario during the Great Depression, Wind at My Back originally ran from 1996 to 2001 and now airs on INSP.
