My wife and I would like to know the status of Kenny Gardner, who sang with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra many years ago.

Gardner, 90, is retired and lives in Plandome, N.Y. He retired when Guy Lombardo (who was also his brother-in-law) died in 1977. For many years, Gardner was the singer for the hugely popular orchestra, which has sold more than 250 million recordings since its creation nearly 75 years ago. Before joining the orchestra, he had his own radio show called Easy Does It. Guy Lombardo and his orchestra may be best known for New Year's Eve broadcasts that celebrated the New Year with the playing of Auld Lang Syne. Those broadcasts continued for nearly 50 years.
