Q I'd like to know about Kristin Kreuk on Smallville.
—Cruz R., Midland, Texas
Kreuk, 23, was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., and began acting in plays in high school. Fate came calling during her senior year when a casting director, looking for talent for the Canadian TV series Edgemont, tapped her for a role. The next year, she landed the title role of Snow White in a 2001 TV-movie remake, then the lead role of Lana Lang on the young-Superman series Smallville. Kreuk also is a spokesmodel for Neutrogena, has a purple belt in karate, is single and lives in her hometown of Vancouver, where Smallville is filmed.
