What is next for Lauren Holly, who played the director on “NCIS”? We really miss her.

Lauren Holly, 50, was on TV all summer as Dr. Betty Rogers, a medical examiner with a quirky sense of humor, in the ABC series “Motive.” She’s set to star as a fiercely independent Southern author held captive in a remote cabin by an obsessed fan in “The Town That Came A-Courtin’,” which is scheduled to air on the UP network in January. She also will star in the movie “Field of Lost Shoes,” a Civil War drama set at the Battle of New Market. The Bristol, Pennsylvania-born mother lives with her three sons in Ontario, Canada.
