What is Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie up to? Is she going to make another record?

—Bill Evans, Tupelo, Miss.

Presley, the only child of Elvis, worked on her third album, Storm & Grace, for two years before releasing in May. It is her first album in seven years and it takes her back to her bluesy-country roots.

“I just wrote from my soul, my heart,” she says.

Surprisingly, it took a move to Great Britain for the native of Memphis, Tenn., 44, to rediscover those roots.

The mother of four—two with her first husband, Danny Keough, and twin daughters with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood—says, “We have found the quality of life so much more enriching and fulfilling. The civility, the culture, the people and its beauty have reawakened me and smoothed out some of my bleak views about people and life.”

Her new life in the U.K. inspired Presley to write 30 songs, several of which were done in collaboration with other artists, including Pulp guitarist Richard Hawley and singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt. The album was produced by T. Bone Burnett.
