Margaret Truman, daughter of President Harry S. Truman, was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Independence, Mo. Truman was married to Clifton Daniel, a former editor for the New York Times who passed away last year, for 43 years. They had four sons and several grandchildren. Daniel, who lives in New York, is an author and editor of a number of books, including a popular series of murder mysteries set in Washington, D.C. The most current installment in this series, Murder in Havana, hit stores in July. Other recent titles include Murder at the Library of Congress and Murder in Foggy Bottom.
