The smooth-voiced country music crooner was born in 1925 in Glendale, Ariz. During a recording career that stretched over three decades, Robbins had 16 No. 1 singles, including "El Paso," "Devil Woman" and "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife," and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He died in 1982 of lung and kidney failure after suffering his third heart attack and undergoing quadruple bypass surgery in Nashville, Tenn.
