Please tell me a little about Michael Ansara, who played Cochise on TV.

The Syrian-born actor moved with his family to Lowell, Massachusetts, when he was 2 and then to Los Angeles, California, when he was 10. He played Cochise on the TV series “Broken Arrow” from 1956 to 1958 before starring in “Law of the Plainsman.” He also portrayed villainous Klingon leader Kang in three different “Star Trek” series. A guest on numerous TV shows throughout the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s, he also appeared in the movies “Harum Scarum,” “The Robe,” “The Ten Commandments” and “The Comancheros.” Married to actress Barbara Eden from 1958 to 1974, Ansara died in July 2013 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease at age 91.
