What’s the latest on one of my favorites, musician Steve Miller?
Alan Goodwin, St. Louis, Mo.

The singer-songwriter-guitarist, 66, is jazzed about Bingo!, his first CD in 17 years. The songs echo Milwaukee-born Miller’s days as an apprentice on the Chicago blues scene between 1964 and 1966. “It’s a really inspirational and serious project,” says Miller, famed for the pop-rock hits “The Joker,” “Take the Money and Run,” “Rock’n Me,” “Fly Like an Eagle” and “Abracadabra.” The godson of electric guitar pioneer Les Paul continues to tour with his Steve Miller Band and will appear this summer with Kenny Chesney on a new TV episode of CMT Crossroads.
