What made Naomi Campbell decide to do the reality series “The Face”?

British-born supermodel Naomi Campbell, 43, was attracted by the challenge of being an executive producer on the TV modeling competition and the opportunity to mentor the contestants, even though she’d turned down previous requests to appear as a judge on other TV “elimination” shows. “I didn’t feel comfortable [criticizing] someone,” she says. She hopes her role on “The Face” will, instead, leave aspiring models with “something that they didn’t know before that was meaningful to them and that they can incorporate in their life in some way.”
