Paulo Benedeti, who joined the cast in May after a stint on another CBS soap opera, Guiding Light, plays the handsome fashion designer. The 26-year-old bachelor was born in Colombia, South America. His family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., when he was 6. He excelled in school as a student and as an athlete, then majored in computer science and engineering at Florida Atlantic University. In 1995, he was cast in the Saturday morning teen sitcom Out of the Blue, which was filmed at Sea World in Orlando, Fla. Later, while in New York for a modeling job, Benedeti auditioned for Guiding Light and landed the part of Jesse Blue. He was on that soap for three years. Benedeti lives in Los Angeles, where The Bold and the Beautiful is taped.
