What info can you share about Drew and Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s The Property Brothers?

Twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott, 33, were naturals to host The Property Brothers because not only do they have 15 years of real estate experience, but they have been acting since they were kids. So they are comfortable in front of the camera.
“I’m probably the only licensed contractor who is also a host of one of these shows,” Jonathan says. “I have built houses from the ground up and have worked on many commercial projects as well. When we come to renovate a house on the show, I often know what to anticipate and I am prepared to deal with it.”
The Vancouver, Canada-born and raised brothers, who now split their time between their hometown and Las Vegas, grew up on a horse ranch and began riding at age 3. They both began acting and doing magic as children, possibly inspired by their father Jim, who worked as an actor and an assistant director in his younger days.
Their initial interest in real estate came about as a means of raising money to fund film projects for their company, Dividian Production Group, which they founded with their older brother J.D.
In 2004, the twins also established Scott Real Estate Inc., a company that oversees the sales and construction of residential and commercial projects and has offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Las Vegas.
In addition to being a licensed contractor, Jonathan is also a professional illusionist and magician. He owns a collection of antique swords and is a second-degree black belt in karate and was a Canadian National Karate champion for several years.
Drew, a seasoned real estate agent, worked as a personal trainer while attending college and says of his family, “We are very close and very supportive of each other. This industry can be very trying on relationships, friends and family. Choosing this career and traveling this path would have been a lot harder if I didn’t have such great support from them.”
