Who was the artist that sang "Chuck E.’s in Love," and what is she doing now?
—Loren Rogers, Santa Clarita, Calif.
That song was a Top 10 hit for Rickie Lee Jones in 1979 and helped win her a Grammy. Jones, 55, has been recording steadily through the years and recently released a new album, Balm in Gilead, of which she says, "A lot of these songs have been percolating for 10 or 20 years." The album includes a song her father wrote and sang to her as a youngster, "The Moon is Made of Gold," and "Old Enough," a duet with Ben Harper. She lives in Malibu, Calif., and has a grown daughter.
