Can you give me some information on the wonderful Scott Hamilton?
—Myrtie H., Indiana

Scott Hamilton, who won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, is in the midst of his 65-city farewell tour with Target Stars on Ice. Hamilton, 42, co-created the production in 1986 and has since served as co-producer and headliner for the last 15 years. He's decided to stop touring, however, to pursue other projects—including figure skating commentary for NBC's coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and developing an ice show for Broadway. He made his movie debut in the upcoming skating comedy On Edge, starring Jason Alexander, Wendie Malick, and John Glover. (Hamilton portrays a demented former skating judge thrown out of the sport.) Hamilton was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, (pop. 28,307) and has one brother and sister. He has homes in Denver and Los Angeles.
