The Tree Top Skewered Apple BBQ championship is held in Yakima, Washington. Benefiting the Yakima Valley Museum, the 2010 event hosted 70 competetive teams. Visitors to the two-day event visit with BBQ teams and enjoy tastings. Over 35,000 in prizes were awarded last year. The event is held on Yakima's Front Street, an historic district in Yakima, Washington where a railroad depot, built in 1910, is surrounded by shops and restaurants.
