What can you tell me about one of my favorite actors, Stacy Keach?
—Kate Rogers, Norfolk, Va.
Keach, 71, a native of Savannah, Ga., enjoys performing Shakespeare and also likes taking on real-life roles from history, as he’s done with portrayals of Ernest Hemingway, Napoleon, Sam Houston and Wilbur Wright. “It has been important to perform both classical and modern work with equal dexterity,” says Keach, well known from his TV role as Mickey Spillane’s tough-guy fictional detective Mike Hammer. He currently narrates CNBC’s documentary series “American Greed,” and he appeared recently on “1600 Penn” and “30 Rock” and will star later this year in the movie Nebraska. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Malgosia, with whom he has a son Shannon, 24, and a daughter, Karolina, 22.
