Did The Beatles ever have a hit single with a song they didn't write?
Hank Spivey, Cleveland, Ohio

The lads from Liverpool recorded several tunes written by others, including Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly. But their only million-selling single from someone's else's song was "Twist and Shout," written by Phil Medley and Bert Russell and recorded in 1962 by The Isley Brothers, two years before the Beatles' version.
