The Cisco Kid, which originally aired from 1950 to 1956, was the first TV series to feature Hispanic stars and one of the first to be filmed in color. Born in Spain, Renaldo filled the title role. He died of lung cancer at age 76 in 1980. Carrillo, whose great-great grandfather settled in San Diego in the 18th century, played Pancho. He died of cancer at age 80 in 1961. The Western was filmed at the Corriganville Ranch in Simi Valley, Calif.
