Fifty years ago, on our first date, my husband and I went to the John Wayne movie The High and the Mighty. I have been trying the find it in video but have had no luck. Any suggestions as to where I could find it?

Right now the 1954 film is not available on video. However, fans' requests for the movie are in the process of being met. The William Wellman-directed disaster film was sent in for restoration work in preparation for an eventual home video/DVD release. No date has been announced.
