Propaganda is personified in Lionsgate’s first official trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1,” hitting theaters in less than five months.

The 90-second clip presents itself as a Capitol TV announcement featuring President Snow (played by Donald Sutherland) reminding the citizens of Panem to stay unified and work “together as one.” What starts out as an upbeat message with inspiring music quickly shifts to a threatening tone. As the camera zooms out, fans of the trilogy see that Snow has their beloved Peeta Mellark (played by Josh Hutcherson) on his right side.

While it’s not an ad for the actual film, the message reminds viewers about the burgeoning rebellion that closed the last film, Catching Fire, and reminds us that “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1,” is just the beginning of the end.

What did you think of the ad? Do your kids or grandkids love The Hunger Games?
