What has happened to the star of The Red Green Show, and is the comedy series available on DVD?

After more than 300 episodes of the Canadian TV series about an inept handyman whose favorite tool is duct tape, actor Steve Smith, 63, retired the TV series at the end of 2005 and has since published a biography, We’re All in This Together. The Toronto native is performing in a musical trio and writing a new book (as Red Green) titled How To Do Everything, due for release this fall. Smith also operates an online Facebook page as Red Green. The 1997-2001 seasons of Red Green are available on DVD, as is The Red Green Is Special DVD boxed set.
