Q: What happened to the Yardbirds?
—Chris Jones, Bismarck, N.D.
The seminal '60s English rock band, which exposed guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page to the world, split in 1968. Their 1992 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame gave the re-formed band, as original member and drummer/backing vocalist Jim McCarty says, "a certain amount of confidence." The Yardbirds' most recent album was 2007's Live at B.B. King Blues Club. The group performs more than 30 concerts a year.
