Longer pegs for bigger stuff
Create longer Peg-Board pegs by drilling holes in the ends of 1/2-inch dowels and using construction adhesive to hold them in place. The extended pegs are great for holding extension cords, rolls of tape and string and other bulky items.

Need an extra hand?
Bent-over nails can act as an extra set of hands for positioning the far end of a beam or joist.

One-handed nail starter
If you need to start a nail in a hard-to-reach or high place, but find yourself coming up short, try this: Place the head of the nail against the base of the hammer head with the nail wedged between the claws. Tap the nail tip in to get it started, then turn the hammer around to finish the job.
