In the 1960s, kids cheered for Underdog, a caped canine cartoon superhero (voiced by Wally Cox) with his own Saturday-morning TV show, to continually rescue hapless Sweet Polly Purebred from the clutches of the villainous Simon Bar Sinister and Riff Raff. This deluxe nine-DVD set includes all original 62 four-part episodes, which also featured the recurring characters Go Go Gophers, Klondike Kat and Kommander McBragg. Extras include bonus cartoons and commentary from writer/producer and co-creator W. Watts Biggers…plus, of course, more than 20 hours of retro-riffic reassurance that “there’s no need to fear—Underdog is here!”
