On TV's Unforgettable, Poppy Montgomery plays a former police detective who can remember everything. What can you tell me about her, and how good is her memory in real life?

&emdash;Paige Moody, Oakland, Calif.

Australia-born Montgomery, 36, got her start in small TV roles and worked her way up to the parts of Marilyn Monroe in the 2001 CBS miniseries Blonde (2001) and FBI agent Samantha Spade on Without a Trace. Earlier this year she starred as J.K. Rowling in Magic Beyond Words, a TV movie about the Harry Potter author. She says her own memory is OK, but not anywhere near as phenomenal as the character she plays on Unforgettable. "Some days it's really good, if I eat right and I sleep right," she says.
