Victoria Shaw, 38, is one of the most successful singer/songwriters in Nashville, Tenn. She was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles. She began making trips to Nashville in 1983 and soon began splitting her time between the country music mecca and New York. Shaw moved to Nashville in 1992, which was the same year she landed a record deal and penned her first No. 1 hit, Garth Brooks' The River. That same year she married Robert Locknar, who now runs her publishing company. They have a young daughter. Shaw's other No. 1 hits include I Love the Way You Love Me, Too Busy Being in Love, and She's Every Woman. She also wrote the Ricky Martin single Nobody Wants to be Lonely. Her most recent album, Old Friends, New Memories, contains her version of her four hit songs, plus 10 new ones.
