Tamblyn, 77, a Los Angeles native who made more than 65 movies between 1948 and 2011, most recently cropped up on TV as Todd’s loony dad on “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret” on IFC, and last year appeared in the movie “Drive.” While writing his autobiography, “Dancing on the Edge,” the star of the classic films “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” “Peyton Place” and “The Haunting” and TV’s “Twin Peaks” has been managing the career of his daughter Amber, 29, who starred on TV’s “Joan of Arcadia.” The multitalented dancer-actor also provided his vocal skills to wife Bonnie Murray Tamblyn’s album “Winter Wind.”
