The Huron, South Dakota, native will appear in the faith-based movie “The Perfect Wave,” set for release next year, as the mother of Australian surfer Ian McCormick, who nearly died after being stung by five box jellyfish. Her most recent credits include a guest role on TV’s “NCIS,” and playing Mrs. Claus in the 2012 movie “Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.” Cheryl Ladd, 62, enjoys walking, kickboxing and spending time with her three grandchildren. “Grandparenting is heaven,” she says. Married for 32 years to music producer Brian Russell, she remains close friends with her “Charlie’s Angels” co-star Jaclyn Smith.
