According to the 2010 U.S. Census, more than 72 percent of Nevada’s residents live in Clark County, or 1,951,269 people out of the state’s total population of 2,700,551. Las Vegas accounts for 583,756 of Clark County’s population. Storey County, the state’s smallest county, has 4,010 residents, or 0.1 percent of the total.
