I am a fan of “Warehouse 13.” I love the artifacts. Does the cast have any favorites?

Without hesitation, Joanne Kelly, who plays Myka Bering on the Syfy series, says that her favorite artifact to date has been the Studio 54 disco ball, that she says makes her feel like she’s partying at the famed New York nightclub.

“I would love to have been at Studio 54,” the 34-year-old Canadian actress says. “Are you kidding me? With all the yoga and macrobiotic stuff we have today, give me a shot of whiskey any day!”

Partying aside, if Kelly could create an artifact in real life, she says she would like the power to rearrange time—and the person she would most like to time travel to meet is William Shakespeare.

Kelly, who was born in Bay d’Espoir, Newfoundland, Canada, had little access to television, and was a big reader growing up.

“I read so much fiction and fantasy,” she says. “‘Lord of the Rings,’ ‘The Hobbit,’ Robert Jordan, and David Eddings, among others. I didn’t have cable where I grew up, so I didn’t grow up in a TV space.”

But her years on “Warehouse 13” have converted her to a fan.

“You know what I love about ‘Warehouse 13’? I love the characters,” she says. “I love how dynamic and interesting each one of them are and how they connect, their relationships. I’m really proud that we have fleshed-out individuals, not stock-in-trade characters. It’s not a sketch; it’s a real living human being that people can connect to. That’s why I wanted to be an actor, and that’s what I like about the show.”
