I enjoy seeing one of my favorite actors, Barry Bostwick, on “Cougar Town.” Does he have any new projects coming up?
—Francis Mitchell, Horse Cave, Ky.

The versatile California-born TV and movie actor, who’s equally at home on the Broadway stage, has more than 120 roles on his resume, including one that had a life beyond which he could have ever dreamed: He played the “wimpy boyfriend” in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” in 1975, which has endured as a cult favorite to this day. You can see him July 19 in the Disney Channel’s “Teen Beach Movie,” a throwback to the “beach-party” drive-in flicks of the 1960s, with a fresh cast of young faces—and Bostwick as a cool-cat granddad. “It’s the perfect movie for the whole family to watch together,” he says.
