Mollie Busta Lange, 34, was born in Dubuque, Iowa, grew up in Spring Grove, Minnesota, and lives in Archbold, Ohio, where she teaches voice, piano and trumpet lessons. She became the trumpet player in her father’s polka band when she was 11, and says polka music “was so much a part of me. It was good family time, like a party with my parents every weekend. It’s not something I’ve ever wanted to give up.” The multi-instrumentalist performs with her husband, Ted Lange, and their band Squeezebox at polka festivals across the U.S.
