Nathan Fillion, 42, was born in Canada and originally planned to be a high school teacher. After landing the role of Joey Buchanan on TV’s “One Life To Live,” however, his acting career was off and running. He appeared on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”,” “Firefly” and “Desperate Housewives” before getting the lead role on “Castle,” which, of all the characters he’s played, he says “is the most like me.” His movies include the new “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” plus “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Waitress” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
