What can you tell me about the actor who plays the coroner on CSI?
—Marcia Lane, Syracuse, New York
Robert David Hall, 65, who plays Dr. Al Robbins on “CSI,” had both legs amputated in 1978 after a traffic accident and today uses prosthetic limbs. The native of East Orange, New Jersey, offers encouragement to others who have had similar injuries. “I’ve gone on. I’m married, have a child and am having a wonderful career,” he says. “So maybe that can give somebody courage or hope.” A former professional musician, he also appeared in the movies “Starship Troopers” and “The Negotiator,” and has been a guest on the TV shows “The West Wing,” “Touched by an Angel” and “The Practice.”
