Who sang the classic 1970 rock hit ‘Reflections of My Life’?
—Charlotte Andrews, Richmond, Calif.
That was Dean Ford, 67, who at the time was lead singer of the Scottish pop-rock band Marmalade. Born Thomas McAleese in Glasgow, Scotland, he provided the lyrics to the multi-million-seller. “I wrote those words overnight and never thought much about them,” he says. “It’s a melancholy kind of song, but there’s something special about the whole feel of it.” Ford, who lives in the Los Angeles area, has teamed with former Badfinger guitarist Joe Tansin and is recording an album with keyboardist Jon Gold.
