Daffenville, Kentucky-born Chrishell Stause, 32, is back on daytime TV on “Days of Our Lives,” but she may not be recognizable at first glance. That’s because she’s in a much less glamorous role than she played before, as plain-Jane, down-to-earth therapist Jordan Ridgeway. “You have to check your vanity at the door—and your eyeliner,” says the Murray State University graduate. When not in front of the cameras, Stause, who experienced some hard times during her own childhood, volunteers at Upward Bound House, a California-based agency working with homeless families.
