I Wrote A Song For Everyone
John Fogerty
CD $10.99 / Vanguard Records

The former Creedence Clearwater Revival front man recreates a dozen of his iconic songs as new collaborations with a cross-section of country singers, pop stars and rockers, including Alan Jackson on “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” Kid Rock on “Born on the Bayou,” Jennifer Hudson on “Proud Mary” and Bob Seger on “Who’ll Stop The Rain.” Other guests include Keith Urban, Foo Fighters, Miranda Lambert, the Zac Brown Band, My Morning Jacket, and Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler. Fogerty also introduces two new solo tunes, “Mystic Highway” and “Train of Fools,” whose motion metaphors are perfect fits for an artist who never seems to stop moving.
